Hey foodies! We’ve made it to mid-July. How exactly did that happen? Most South Floridians are just trying to stay cool in these miserably hot, humid days of summer, and we’re just trying to hide inside an air-conditioned restaurant and sip on some kind of frozen concoction. We hope your year thus far has been amazing and that the rest of summer is even better. Since this marks the official half way point of summer, can we start dreaming of fall and cooler days? We’ll continue to enjoy Miami’s heat and document some of our favorite restaurants in hopes that you can take some time off to check them out. In the meantime, we leave you with a few fun foodie links from around the web! Enjoy!
Hey there foodie friends, we’ve made it through what has felt like an eternal week with these gloomy Miami days and non-stop rain. We’re so excited that the weekend is here, even if the weather persists we’ll at least get to grub on some take-out and snuggle in bed while watching Netflix. In the meantime, we leave you with a few fun foodie links from around the web to lighten things up a bit! Enjoy.
Hi foodie friends! We’ve officially made it to Friday and we’re so excited that the weekend is now upon us. We’ve been in full Miami Spice mode on our end, trying all sorts of dishes across our city. Stay tuned next Monday for another installment of #MiamiSpiceMonday where we’ll share yet another culinary adventure. In the meantime, we leave you with some fun foodie links that we’ve found across the web, including some last-minute summer recipes that are totally worth a try. Enjoy!
Another Friday and we’ve officially hit the beginning of the end of Summer 2016. Do you have any fun foodie plans this weekend? We will be taking things easy and probably munching on way too much food. Although, truth be told, we’re a little ready for Fall to take full course – even if that’s just our light-breeze rendition of Fall. Also, remember Miami Spice is still in full effect and there’s so many menus to explore and savor. So while you set dinner plans for the weekend, we leave you with a few foodie links from around the web. Enjoy!
Happy Friday, foodie friends! Did you enjoy our Instagram takeover last night with Chef Spike Mendelsohn at Iron Fork Miami? Huge kudos to Chef Spike for being such an awesome foodie and joining forces with us for all the behind-the-scenes footage. Now that Iron Fork is under our belt, you know what that means? Miami Spice officially kicks off this Sunday and we can’t wait to start sharing all the delicious foodie spots that we’re totally digging this year. We hope to have new places to share and old favorites to tell you about again. We will officially be bringing back our #MiamiSpiceMonday series where, every week for the next two months, we highlight one of our favorite spots, so be on the lookout this upcoming Monday. In the meantime, we leave you with our fun Foodie Friday link pack. Enjoy!

We’ve been on a total French kick over at MMTM headquarters the last few weeks and we can’t help but feel nostalgic given the recent events in Nice. I still vouch that the best meal I’ve ever had in my life was in the South of France, so this place has a very special place in my heart. There’s something healing about food and its power to bring people together, so this week we once again pay homage to French cuisine. However, unlike the glitz and splendor of Bal Harbour and Le Zoo, today we highlight Café Bastille – a small, family owned spot that’s been around Downtown long before the high-rise buildings started to take over Miami’s skyline.
Hi foodie friends, happy Friday! We’re celebrating tons of stuff over at MMTM Headquarters, including last night’s successful team work with our new contributing writers, where together we simultaneously covered three of Miami’s hottest spots. We have tons of content coming your way including plans to bring back our widely successful #MiamiSpiceMonday feature! Yes, that’s just around the corner, so get super excited! While we marinate (pun slightly intended) on all the foodie things going on in our little corner of the world, we leave you with our Foodie Friday link pack. Enjoy!
It’s Fri-yay! The work week was short, but we’re still happy that we’ve reached the weekend again. How’s everyone’s summer going? We feel pretty confident that we’re almost halfway through summer and the weather is making it almost impossible to enjoy the outdoors. How humid is it out there lately? It makes us want to escape to cooler weather or sip endlessly on cool summer cocktails. Whatever your plans are this weekend, we hope they entail something refreshing that will help make this summer heat a bit more tolerable. Before you start to brainstorm, we leave you with some fun foodie links from around the web! Enjoy!
It’s Friday and we couldn’t be happier. It’s been a long, busy week for us and we’re just excited to have a few days of down time. Mel will be home in Miami taking things easy and Mitch is actually in Napa drinking wine and enjoying the best of what the West Coast has to offer. What’s getting us through the end of June? The fact that Fourth of July weekend is just around the corner and we’re getting amped to eat tons of BBQ, watch fireworks, and have an extra few days off to make it feel like it’s truly summer. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we leave you with a few fun foodie links from around the web to get you in the weekend mood. Enjoy!
Remember that time we teamed up with Alamos Wines for our at-home Parillada? Well a few weeks ago, we kicked things up a notch with an uber cool, extra meaty BBQ at the one and only Quality Meats in Miami Beach. The affair was hosted by Quality Meats’ executive chef Patrick Rebholz, who recently nabbed the People’s Choice Award at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s marquee event, Meatopia. As if Chef Rebholz’s greatness didn’t suffice, he partnered with Chef Norberto “Negro” Piattoni for the BBQ cookout/extravaganza. Rebholz, an expert in whole animal butchery, and Piattoni, a former employee of renowned Argentine chef Francis Mallman, collaborated to create a feast that we will soon NOT forgot. Oh yeah, and as if these masters grilling for us wasn’t enough, the dinner was paired with fresh crisp beer from MIA Brewing. Total win.
