Since opening its doors in 2008, Meat Market (915 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach) has managed to establish itself as one of the few quality dining options on the deteriorating Lincoln Road food scene. With rave reviews and numerous awards, the flagship location (there are now two more Meat Markets in Palm Beach and Puerto Rico) has quietly made a name for itself with a winning formula of taking the staples of a classic steakhouse and putting an artful, contemporary spin on them, attracting a stylish fan base looking for more than just red meat.

Foodie Friday – Local Edition

We finally made it to December and the holidays are upon us! It certainly is the most wonderful time of the year, especially for us foodies. The Thanksgiving appetizer is behind us and we’re ready to dig into the main course with Art Basel and Miami Art Week hitting their stride this weekend. And, we can’t forget the extreme amounts of lechón that will be entering our lives come Christmas and New Year’s (with a side of Hanukkah potato latkes for Mitch). As if that wasn’t enough, there’s still plenty to see and do, eat and drink this December in the Magic City.  Below is our monthly round-up of what the month ahead has in store for us here in Miami. #MiamiSpiceMonday – RED, The Steakhouse

RED, The Steakhouse and I have very different interpretations of what Miami Spice should be. For me, Miami Spice is all about the simplicity of a $39 fixed price menu, featuring 3 options for 3 courses, allowing restaurants to show off their best to diners who may not normally be able to frequent them. RED, on the other hand, throws it all out there, with their rotating menu themes, multiple course options, and add-ons and upgrades galore. It’s a difference in ideology that is worlds apart, but that’s also what’s great about Miami Spice (and dining opinions, in general); at the end of the day, it’s all about the food. And, since I’m never one to pass up a good meal, I gladly accepted an invite to check out RED’s huge variety of Miami Spice menu options.
