Hi, foodies! In the immortal words of Justin Timberlake:
That’s right, we’re almost halfway into 2017 and inching closer and closer towards the quiet (and oppressively hot) Miami summer months. But, that doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of action taking place in our local food scene. Don’t believe it? Well, just check out our monthly news round-up below and see for yourself. Enjoy!

The Brick Restaurant, located in Downtown Dadeland (8955 SW 72nd Pl), is a quaint and charming farm-to-table dining experience in Kendall. Upon arrival you should expect an open kitchen design and décor that resembles a rustic backyard with restored beams and patio lights neatly sprinkled throughout the main dining area. The place has backyard goals written all over it (except it’s indoors).

Welcome to Barley, the newest focal point of Downtown Dadeland. Some of you may be saying that this restaurant has existed in Miami for a few years now, and that is true. But the thing is, it just moved to a new location, and this joint has received a major upgrade that is in line with any Kardashian facelift.

It’s no secret that Barley is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami (see: Exhibits A & B), so, needless to say, it hasn’t been easy waiting for the new-and-improved American Brasserie to reopen in its new Downtown Dadeland location later this year. Luckily for me, and all of you, chef/owner Jorgie Ramos has been keeping himself busy with a pet project called Faith & Pizza, a little pizza joint (also in Downtown Dadeland) that serves up near-perfect pies, great gastropub grub, and a plentiful portion of philanthropy.
