Raw Juce (959 West Avenue, Miami Beach) has been a staple in Palm Beach Gardens for a while but it wasn’t until recently that this organic, cold-press juicing establishment made its way down to Miami. Today, Raw Juce has eight locations across South Florida including Aventura and South Beach. I recently visited the latter location and felt renewed after trying their organic, locally-sourced menu of juices, smoothies, açai bowls, and salads.
Menu highlights: You can expect a lot of healthy on this menu, but that does not mean you’ll need to compromise on options. In fact, the menu has something for every health nut out there. I asked the welcoming staff at the friendly South Beach outpost to share some of the fan favorites. As so, they shared the The Popeye, an organic smooth-e-lixir with pineapple, peach, Granny Smith apple, cucumber, kale, ginger, spirulina, and protein powder ,all garnished with chopped almonds and raw honey.
I also tried the E3 Green Monster with pineapple, banana, almond milk, Granny Smith apple, kale, protein poweder, spirulina, and E3Live, garnished with chopped almonds, bee pollen and raw honey. Both were similar in taste, smooth and incredibly refreshing.
Finally, I sampled The Chocolate Zenergy, an organic smooth-e-bomb, because anything that’s healthy and has chocolate is quite promising in my book. With bananas, cashew milk, almond butter, protein powder, oats, cacao powder, and raw honey, the smoothie was garnished with flax and hemp granola, strawberries, pineapple, bananas, cacao bibs, hemp seeds, and raw honey.
I’m always a bit hesitant of smoothies and cold press juices. I know they’re SO good for me, but sometimes the taste doesn’t add up to the benefits. I’m happy to report that in this case the smoothie felt more like a treat than a punishment. All the ingredients have been masterfully thought out and I can totally justify having one of these smoothies for breakfast every single day.
Standout dish: The organic açai bowls will turn you into a health freak if you’re somewhat of a skeptic like me. I tried the Berry Hemp Banana Açai Bowl, which brought banana, mango, açai, almond milk, and raw honey, blended together and then topped with Goji berries, pineapple, raspberry, raw coconut flakes, flax and hemp granola, and raw honey. It sounds a bit overwhelming, but everything comes together beautifully for the dream açai bowl.
Are we boozing? We’re doing the really good kind of boozing where alcohol is nowhere to be found. What you will find are cold press juices galore and organic quenchers that will make you feel healthy AF.
Check this place out if you like: Uber healthy spots like Robeks, Dr. Smood, or Jugofresh. Along with Raw Juce, these are the kind of spots that will give you a serious nutrient boost.
Mel’s take: Raw Juce is the kind of place I need to get my life in order. Apart from the juices, smoothies, and bowls that I tried during my visit, they offer menu items like organic shots, cold press coffee pick-me-ups, and organic salads to quench every health craving you may have throughout the day. It’s pretty much the type of place you want to visit to not only to feel good about yourself and food choices, but to indulge. Who would have thought you could have both simultaneously?
