Good thing for us, there’s plenty of foodie fun to partake in – mostly in the comfy confines of the air conditioned indoors. On that note, check out our round-up below for the best of the Miami food scene this month. Enjoy!

Located right at the entrance to the neighborhood at 8th Street and 27th Avenue, their new 1,200 square foot shop will have lots of space for production, shopping, and demos. Best of all, the open concept will allow patrons to see the workings of Miami’s first bean-to-bar chocolate factory and every step of the chocolate production (of course, tastings and tours are on the menu).

As if anyone needed a reason to head to The Anderson this month…the 80’s-inspired watering hole known and loved for its crafty, booze-driven cocktails and elevated bar bites, recently dropped a fresh new menu. In the retro pages of the zine, expect to find The Anderson’s rad take on cocktails broken up into two sections: Freshies and Stiffies, both made up of new, creative cocktails engineered by the bar’s own Joshua Alperstein. And, to complement the eclectic cocktails, a truly mouthwatering menu has officially given elevated bar bites a new meaning, joining old favorites like the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Tex-Mex Queso.

Craving croquetas? You can now get your fix at Baru Latin Bar in Kendall, which has just included Finka’s delicious and crispy croquetas on their menu so you can order them for pre-partying fuel or as a post-partying refuel! The croquetas are available seven days a week in orders of four for only $7 from 4PM to close. The cocktail menu at Baru is also new and improved, all being curated by the award-winning group of bartenders, the Cocktail Cooperative.

Ricky’s South Beach is shattering happy hours all over the beach, having recently launched its new happy hour, available Monday through Friday from 5-10PM. The new happy hour is highlighted by 50% off the entire bar and food menu. And to sweeten the deal, for every alcoholic drink purchase made during happy hour, you’ll receive two tokens to spend at Ricky’s arcade. At this point it would be unwise and just downright counterintuitive not to go!

Macchialina, Miami’s stylish and beloved brick-walled trattoria, will be hosting an O.P.P. (Oysters, Pizza and Prosecco) summer series every Sunday beginning on June 4th. Handmade by Pirolo and Chef de Cuisine Craig Giunta, Macchialina’s Sicilian Pies are uniquely prepared with Cinque Stagioni flour imported from Parma, Italy. Priced at $22 each, only a limited number of pies will be available each week, alongside a half dozen oysters for $18 or a half dozen dressed oysters for $22 (selections will change weekly), and a selection of bubbles for just $8 per glass.
