Corsair’s Creative Brunch

Looking for a new take on brunch? Well, the 52 by CORSAIR, the new signature brunch at Turnberry Isle’s CORSAIR Kitchen + Bar (19999 W Country Club Dr, Aventura) is a creative mix of buffet standards and rotating weekly a la carte menu that is waiting to be discovered. Served from 11:30AM to 3PM on the weekends, the $45 per person package includes unlimited buffet access, choice of a made-to-order brunch classic, and bottomless mimosas or bloody marys.

Menu highlights: At first glance, the CORSAIR brunch is another buffet experience with an over-the-top “kitchen counter” spread, featuring the classic you’d expect – from raw bar to dessert bar, bacon to biscuits, and charcuterie to crispy flat breads.

But, here’s the thing… This brunch is actually much more than a buffet. For once, you won’t want to go overboard on your selections because The 52 also include your choice from a weekly rotation of seven a la carte brunch classics, including Shrimp Mac & Cheese, Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Skillet, and Bananas Foster French Toast. Don’t get too attached though, because these dishes are never repeated exactly – each week’s array offer’s a different interpretation of an eggs benedict, French toast, breakfast skillet, mac & cheese, egg sandwich, salad and açai bowl.

Standout dishes: The open-faced Fried Chicken Sandwich was an absolute gem of a dish. It was crispy, not greasy; crunchy, yet moist; and that runny fried egg on top added a delicious and gooey sauce component to make every bite just that much more succulent. I’m also not ashamed to say that I dipped the accompanying fries right into that broken egg yolk.

Are we boozing? As part of The 52 by CORSAIR brunch affair, your meal also includes Bottomless Mimosas and an $8 upgrade option to a DIY Bloody Mary Bar with 52 different toppings. So, that would be a yes.

Check this place out if you like: other brunches that mix buffet and a la carte options that go the extra mile, like Burlock Coast and Cibo Wine Bar.

Mitch’s take: I love the idea of being a restaurant regular. Not just a repeat customer, but someone that the staff knows to grow and love after seeing me on a very consistent basis. The brunch at CORSAIR is the kind of place where I wouldn’t mind turning that dream into a reality. The restaurant is comfortable, the service is consistent, and with the 52 by CORSAIR brunch menu, it’s also creative enough to keep me interested and coming back for more.
