Last Friday Mel took you on a personal foodie tour of Wynwood. This week Mitch is giving you an inside look into his Miami as part of Visit Miami’s “It’s So MiamiTM: People & Places” campaign. Check out his exclusive tips below: Continue reading
We’re still trying to recuperate from Monday’s festivities here at #MMTM. We tend to be overachievers when it comes to food and booze, and St. Patrick’s Day always gives us a false sense of Irish entitlement. With that said, we’re thinking of seriously indulging in food this weekend – you know, to even out the damage.
We leave you with a few foodie links to discover.
You made it to Friday! And the entirely good news is that this Monday won’t suck nearly as much as other past weeks because it’s Saint Patrick’s Day (a.k.a let’s all pretend we have Irish roots and drink insane amount of booze). We’re pretty much on board with all drinking holidays (responsibly, of course!) To celebrate the luck of the Irish, we’ve dedicated this week’s Foodie Friday to all things St. Patrick’s (and a few events taking place this weekend around Miami) enjoy!
Fridays always make everything brighter and better. It’s the same way we feel about food. Food always makes life easier…tastier. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? We’ll be roaming the streets of our dear city in search of an awesome restaurant to share with you.
Here are a few links from around the web to get you excited.
Kids, that’s a wrap for February. Can you believe that tomorrow is March 1st? WTF! For our friends up north that means spring might finally come to the rescue. For us in Miami, that means we can officially start thinking beach and summer, and even better, summer food! Perhaps we’re being a tad bit premature, but in no time our weather is bound to get really, really warm. We’ll try not get ahead of ourselves, and maybe hone in on March holidays like St. Patricks Day, where we find an excuse to drink green beer for our non-Irish ancestors. In the meantime, here’s link of fun foodie links around the internet.
This weekend, Miami becomes the country’s food Mecca. The South Beach Food & Wine Festival makes its way to our hood and locals flock to celebrate. We suggest getting mentally prepared for the myriad of food events that will take over our city. There’s really no better way to get to know a city than through its food and its people, and because this event brings the best of both world’s together, Miamians should rejoice in bliss. Caution: the festival is a foodie’s paradise and our diet’s worst nightmare.

It’s the day of love, and this Foodie Friday is dedicated to all things Valentine’s. It’s a day of glory for American consumerism…and love.
At MMTM, we like to hibernate at home with our significant others, as we’re a tad bit hesitant of the long waits and pre-fix menus. That said, our cynicism allows for it all: cheesy Valentine’s Day cards, the L-word and the infestation of all things red and pink. We’re also lucky enough to spend this day with people we truly love and can’t imagine life without (moment of mushiness.) So here’s to champagne, cheese and lots of chocolate!
We can’t believe it’s February already, which means MMTM has officially been in business a whole month – eek! Where does time go? Thanks for tuning in for a whole 4 weeks. Here’s to hoping you join us on a journey of pure gluttony and love for our beloved Miami!

This special edition of Foodie Friday is dedicated to America’s most gluttonous guilty pleasure, the Super Bowl.
On this ‘holy’ Sunday, we tend to have our own sacred championship of who-can-eat-more-junk-food-and-drink-more-beer. Here at MMTM, we’re up for the challenge and welcome you to join in on the fun. Full warning, it probably won’t be a glorious Monday, but it in our book, that’s usually a touchdown weekend.
